Personally, I'm thankful there is some sort of safeguard to keep the battery from getting to hot and exploding on my face, but that's just me.

Then again, I have yet to experience this problem. I stream music all day. The phone does get warm but my phone still charges... ::shrugs::

Its not just an overheating problem. As some other people have posted its also the fact that the radios will draw more power when active sometimes than the charger can even supply. So not only are you making it get hotter when this happens from the extra strain (and probably sometimes kicking the thermal protection) but youre also still draining your battery at a faster rate than the charger can compensate for.

I think it has something to do with the stock charger, I have not had this happen while plugged into a standard HTC TP charger, however, I did have this happen while plugged into the 6800 charger.
