How do you make internet explorer the default browser? If you say to change the registry, then please explain where to go to do that as well then. thanks

Search is your friend. I just did a search for PIE default browser and found this:

There is a .cab file in post #12 that will make the registry edits for you, plus if you want to revert back you can just uninstall it and it will put Opera back as the default browser.
