How to get T9 working
 

I'm almost sure this has already been discussed, however I can't do a search for 'T9' because it's to short. I don't know what else to search for.

Anyway, how do I get the T9 function to work when sending things like text messages. When ever I type something on T9/phone pad mode, only numbers come out. I heard T9 works fine on the diamond so I would think it would work just the same on the TP. I would love to get this working for 1 handed messaging.

disable the setting for one touch symbol entry under options -> options from the keypad.

i haven't had this problem... you've tried soft resets, right?

Yes I did a soft reset. Still didn't work. It didn't work for aschlottman either from the looks of it.

I figured my issue, and something tells me it maybe your issue too. While I was on the board, I did a search for post about classic word completion to see if anybody posted issues with lag. While reading that post, I saw people complaining about lag as well as the program messing up on-screen typing. Everybody after putting the program on their phone, they couldn't get letter to type from the on-screen keyboard. I deleted classic-word correction to see if it was fix my T9 issue, and sure enough it did.

If you have classic word correction, that's your issue.
