Re: How to get calendar to launch in month view

All I did was go into Calendar - Tools - Options and then chose Month View in the "Start In" drop down menu...works like a charm for me and my girlfriend. If it doesn't work for you, maybe there's something else wrong?

I'm using the stock Sprint rom, but I have done alot of tweaking like changing the taskbar icons, TF3D icons/slider, etc. I've never had a problem with the Calendar NOT opening in Month view after I set it to do so, so I don't know how to help.

Are you running a custom ROM? I am running Juggalo's latest and it always opens in agenda view even if I change it in options.

I had the exact same problem until I installed Pocket Informant (awesome program) & mapped it to open from the calendar shortcut on the TF3D Home screen. PI will open in the month view.

I also added the calendar tab to TF3D, I use that when I just want a quick glance at the month......

i dunno what program did it, but something i did made tf3d reflect the default view. its possible, somebody must know. check over at xda under diamond or touch pro, there was a topic there a few weeks back where they figured it out.

Yeah - couple of options here - though I haven't had chance to test them out yet.

I used this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407777
  1. Start application
  2. Click 'Init' (The Application will now check which patches are available, and make a security backup if your manila. This can take some secoonds)
  3. Choose the file you want to change, tick 'Patch' and enter your prefered file. Click on Save.
  4. If you want the calendar to start in your favorite view and not in Agendaview, enable patch on calendar.exe an simply remove '$' from arguments. Be sure to set default view in calendar settings to month view as well.
Now, when you click calendar in TF3D it will open in month view instead of day view.

Re: How to get calendar to launch in month view

I noticed something REALLY weird!!!! I have the Stock ROM with NO mods, and I've set it to Month view. Now on mine, if i open up the Calendar thru the Home tab in TF3D it goes right to the Agenda. BUT, if i click Start, then click the Calendar there it opens in Month View. Its setup as one of my favorites in the Start Menu. I havent researched this as a possible fix, but i just stumbled upon this right now after reading this thread!!! @_@

Strange, mine goes to Month View no matter which way I open Calendar. I changed it to week view and then tried it and it went to Week view each way. Then I changed back to Month view and it goes to month view just like it should. I mean it's working for me exactly how it should depending on what view I set it up to go to in the Options menu. I'm glad mine is working correct, but wonder what could be happening to everybody else?!?!?

Mine did the same thing when I was using the stock calendar.

For anybody looking for an awesome calendar replacement, try the trial version of Pocket Informant -the more I use the program & get used to using a lot of the options/customizations, the more I love it...

Thanks - it worked for me tho not sure what the removing signature warning was (I just selected 'YES').

Oh I added #5 above cause that is really 1 of the final steps.

The reason posts like this start in the first place is because that doesn't work in every phone (it didn't in my first TP)

When I did that, the next time the calendar was opened it would flash to the month view for about 1 second & then immediately switch to the agenda view. That's a pretty common problem.

I tried this, but how do you temp. disable tf3d as the link says to do, because under Init there is nothing.

That's the same problem that I have when changing the view. No matter what I change the view to, it still shows the agenda view.

This is why you need to do a hard reset before you first start using you phone. It helps get rid of little bugs like this. Its a bug, a problem with YOUR phone because its not running the way it was designed.

I've done multiple hard resets on my phone. In fact did one last week. I was able to get the calendar to work right when I first got my phone but after having to do a hard reset due to my phone not being able to connect to the internet (sprint suggested hard reset, before shipping me a new phone several months back)

A hard reset doesn't fix this problem, some ROM's act this way & others don't.

That doesn't work. I've hard reset twice since I've had the phone.
