3G on Tmobile not working for my TP unlocked
 

Has anyone tried to use their unlocked Touch Pro from Europe in the US on 3G T-mobile? I cannot get it to work here......and yes I am a noob...we all were once noobs. Any help greatly appreciated...

If its anything like using it on AT&T then 3G won't work on the unlocked version.

I believe they use different bands in Europe than they do in the US so its not supported.

You should be able to get an AT&T Fuze and unlock it and use it on T-Mobile though with 3G.

Even the AT&T Fuze is using different bands, AFAIK, so not even that will work with T-Mobile 3G.

T-Mobile is the odd man out with 3G @ 1700MHz and 2100MHz. With most devices, EDGE is pretty much the best you can get with T.

Did think of that one. I had no idea what bands T-Mo was using.

Thanks for the replies...I searched countless forums on several sites and I found out that the physical radio amps on the European version are completely different and therefore cannot use US 3g...but on to the good news...I got a great deal on the ATT Fuze and I am 3g happy in the US....I also have to say, I use to never get signal inside my house with T-mo, but with ATT I get three bars all the time...Touch Pro rocks !!!!

didn't know T-Mo has 3G.
i thought the WWE version has only 3.5G if that matters?
