Touch Pro onscreen Alpha keyboard not switching
 

Hello all, maybe I flubbed up somewhere when during my registry edits (or a rouge .cab). But I am unable to switch to Alpha(ABC)-mode on the FULL QWERTY keyboard. It is stuck in numeric. I press and hold the "ABC" to switch, but it never switches. Anyone ever run into this before?

do you have the diamond tweak?if so,go in there and enable the automatic screen pop-up and t9 mode.mine was doing that until i enabled those features.good luck soldier!

Change the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime\CurrentET9Style from 1 to 0 and that should fix it.

I have to change that setting every so often, just did it again yesterday. I know there were discussions on here about what causes it to go back to 1 from time to time. I believe editing contacts was one of those reasons from what I recall.


Forgot to mention this only occurs (for me) since I installed the classic word completion cab file, the fixed reg entry is in the latest version of that cab but again I have to change the setting every so often when it reverts back to 1. Probably 3-4 times in the last 3 months, but I also don't edit to many contacts and that is the only times I have noticed it changing back so far.

I've been having to reg edit multiple times a day. Is there a permanent fix?
