n00b-iest question ever.....

OK, I know this is stupid, but I gotta ask...

Will flashing a new rom on my phone erase all my contacts, pics, vids, info, etc... on my phone?????

Also, I am using a Sprint phone on verizon's network. I had to input all the info myself seeing as how they do not allow competitors phones on their network...will flashing a new rom erase all this as well? That should be safe, correct?

I use Windows Live on my phone to sync all of mt contacts and all of my pictures are in my storage card and they won't be deleted when you flash your phone :-)

Is there a FREE program that backs up contacts, like spbbackup would? I stress the FREE part

Windows Live is in your phones programs, it syncs all of your hotmail contacts.

Try PPCPimBackup, which backups your contacts, calendar, emails, text messages, call logs, tasks and even custom files or folder you specify.

Another free option is to sign up for an exchnge server. I use mail2web. It will save contacts, appointments and tasks and it also offers a free email address. go to www.mail2web.com and click mail2web live to set up an account.

Since there are numerous threads discussing ways to back-up info, etc., I'm gonna close this one down and move it to the general Touch Pro Forum.
