Unable to send text messages
 

One of the users in my office recently got a Verizon HTC Touch Pro. They were able to send texts in the past but all of a sudden they can't anymore. When he tries to hit the send button on a text message an error message pops up that reads:

The message cannot be signed and/or encrypted.

I did a google search and all i could find are results saying some program called CE Star can cause the problem and uninstalling or registering it will fix it. He does not have this program installed and never has.

It seems like the phone is trying to sign or encrypt the text message with a certificate as if it were an email. I tried looking through the registry to find a value that might affect this but couldn't find anything.

If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. I'd rather not hard reset the phone.

I've same problem with my phone. And I've tried my best to hard reset in three times, but the same problem occurs again. Following the guide on internet, I can not found the CE-Star software on my phone.
Anyone can help me to solved this case.

I ended up just doing a hard reset and it worked after that. I don't know what's causing the problem but that fixed it for me. It hasn't come up again since.

I have sprint touch pro. CE Star cause me problem for sending text to Verizon and T-moble users. No problem for sending it to Sprint and At&T. Anyone know how to fix it?
