I need to hard reset my Sprint Touch Pro and i can't find anything here or at XDA that is working. The Volume down, center button resert is not it. I am panacing!

you have a clear storage option under settings-> system

that should be it
hold down volume down, center button and hit the reset button

its kind of tricky it took me a few tries to get it done

*edit* I remember I used the power button to power up while holding the other keys down
not the reset button

Ah you are the second user today with this prob, too much flasing...lol...just be easy on the power button and you ll be alright

Simple.. you need to turn OFF phone first, take out hte battery to do this.. then put the battery back in.. Press in this order.. Vol Down, Enter/Centercircle, THEN power.. white screen comes up asking to reset... you're good from there.

to hard reset I hold volume down, power, and center of d-pad at the same time, then press the reset

Is the hard reset the best way to clean up the device? I flash a lot but I cant help to think that it is like loading a PC OS on top of each other over and over. Is there something that is similiar to formatting the driveor is hard resetting the device doing essentially that?

Hard reset is that my man, wipes all and reinstall fresh OS
