where can u find ur phone's build date?

I've got a 10/15 build date and my phone is fine, no overheating, no chipping chrome etc... its just the luck of draw... I've seen plenty of senseless reasons for returns on this forum, but I think this beats them all...

I'm with you. I don't get it......... and to the OP, what do you tell them when you return it?

"Hi! My phone isn't the latest build....... Give me a new one"

Not trying to be an ***, just curious as to how you can get away with keep swapping them.

I got mines from BB 2 days ago, build date Nov 17, everything is great

- creaky keyboard on the right side
- unevenly lit keyboard, QWERTYASDFZXCV are dim #3 is the brightest button...
- back button kinda pops when pushed, mostly when using keyboard.
- and the slide keyboard/screen has a bit of wobble... side to side closed and open.

That was my last phone... This one is about the same except now the screen is bulding out and the face-keys are like.... popped out... and it keeps freezing.

I'm just trading it in again....

I got my phone the day Best Buy started selling them. My build date is Oct 14, 2008, and I have no problems at all. My chrome is fine, my keyboard feels good, the screen looks great, and my D-PAD is no longer lopsided after I figured out you had to press slightly outside of the ring for the direction.

I don't know, maybe I just treat my phone like I want it to last for a few years or something.

Yea thats messed up your switchig pros over a build date. pretty sad and childish.

Remind me over my lil brothers fighting over who get to play with the new xbox 360 controller ( its the same thing ). Pretty sad.

My current TP has a build date of 10-14, and I have been experiencing the issues of chipping chrome, and half-lit keyboard. But to the OP, check your MEID (HEX) number if it falls in the range of A1000007800572 through A1000007805C7A (this is the range given to me by ecare after contacting them regarding the chipped chrome) your device could possibly have the issues others have been having sometime down the road. If the HEX number is not in this range there is nothing to worry about as this is the only issue I have seen regarding the TP thus far, and Sprint is surprisingly making sure it will be fixed.

I am currently waiting for my TP to come into the shop through advanced exchange.

Also I did get my TP at Best Buy, and exchanged it at a Sprint service center, so to answer the question of going back to BB, no you should not have to because it is a known defect.
