HTC Touch Pro sync to Thunderbird/Lightning???

Does any one have any experience or recommended freeware tools which will allow me to sync my HTC Pro (Sprint) to my address book in Thunderbird and calendar in Lightning? I do not use Outlook and that seems to be the only sync option with the included SW.

Cheers

Not completely free, but might be worth it if you decide to try it.

this is hacky but if you use goosync and then sync firebird using http://www.twistermc.com/blog/2007/0...ar-thunderbird

Birdiesync works great and is worth the small cost to have something that works!

I used Finchsync and it worked perfectly. I was able to import my Thunderbird Contacts and other data. Finchsync is also free... :)

I don't know about contacts, but I use Google Calendar and just sync that with the phone, and then sync it with Lightning as well.

You can use funambol and get the funambol plugin for Thunderbird. I have used that setup and it worked great, plus it was free.

Re: HTC Touch Pro sync to Thunderbird/Lightning???

Any one have any thoughts as to how I can get over this latest hurdle? I chose to use BirdieSync based on the feedback above and additional reviews and research I did. That said, I am being blocked my the MS beats after all. For me to properly install ActiveSync for BidieSync to work I needed to install Outlook. Since I did not want to purchase, I chose to install a trial version and keep gettin a
OfficeMUI.msi ErrorCode

Have trid to research this and how I can removethis barrier but I
am stumpped. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
