stock taskbar icons for touch pro
 

I brought this up in the thread about changing your taskbar icons, but I think it deserves its own thread.

I like to have everything neat on my phone without all those fancy little icons on the taskbar. I was wondering if there was a way to get them back the way they are on the stock roms if they came with a custom rom you flashed.

I've been using Scott's ROM on my TP and just remove the icons he installed through the remove programs app - since the way he installed it allows it to be done that way. But if you have a ROM in which the cooker installed it a different way and it's not shown in the list then check out my edit in that thread

okay, I didn't see the originals further down in the thread. However I can't replace them since I'm guessing they're in use.

is there a way to replace the old ones when they're not being used?

Try the following method (From the Custom Taskbar Thread here):

When replacing a specific dll file in windows use the following technique (Using the HTCVolumeControl.dll as an example):
· Open Total Commander and go into /windows rename current HTCVolumeControl.dll to HTCVolumeControl.dll.bak
· use TC to move the new .dll file into /windows
· soft reset.
· You may now delete the .bak one.

alright, I just decided to use a cab file.
would you by chance happen to have the stock CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll file?

Hmm, I do not have permission to view the tread. Could you please clarify how I could get my stock taskbar back?

I don't like those colourful ones...
