Anyone having delayed text message issues?

I'm still having major issues.. Sprint isn't doing much to help. I'm starting to wonder if this is a Pro issue. The ones that are really bad seem to come from Verizon.. I don't know. Anyone have any ideas on this at all? It's getting really frustrating.

Glad I woke from my nap and found this.

I was almost starting to think it was a phone or ROM issue yesterday.
I called Sprint asked for Technically and they switched me to "advance" *hi Lindsey (;
Who told me there was an issue in my area which was cleared up.

I've been having all the issues I see here at one time or another for months.
Delayed or lost text up to 5 hours, picture messages lost of delayed up to 3 days, out of order receiving and delivery with the proper time stamp.

After she had me pull the battery I had her send me some test texts, yeah I tried, which came through seconds after she sent them.
Today, I'm using PushEffect for email, they started "delaying" again but only by 2 minutes or so.

Glad everyone is calling too.

I miss a LARGE percentage of calls in my apartment, texts come in late (more like, not at all) voicemail indicators never show up either. I had a close friend of mine trying to get a hold of me the other night. Sent her a text at 1:17 or so in the AM, she texted me right back. At about 1:45 she tried calling, twice... neither of which rang for me. On the second call, she left a voicemail. I don't have poor service at my apartment. With the telus radio, it's easily 4-5 bars out of 7. My Helio Ocean (sprint network as well) got 4/5 or 5/5 bars in the same locations and it had notoriously bad cell reception. My TP on the sprint radio got 1-2 bars if I was lucky. All VZW users have nearly perfect service there too.

There really isn't an excuse for this, and it's extremely frustrating because there are people who need to get in touch with me and I keep having to call my voicemail every 30 minutes or so to check if there are any texts that haven't been pushed to me. I've learned that after about 18 seconds in voicemail, when the lady says "To indicate your choice..." MOST waiting texts will then arrive.

All of my friends complain about how they can't get a hold of me because I don't answer. It's not that I'm not answering, it's that the damn phone rarely rings. It hits these points where it just totally stops receiving any 1xRTT data (calls/texts) and it stays that way till it times out or who knows what else hapens.

This has been happening to me for months!It started on my 3rd of 5 moguls and is continuing to my Touch Pro.Not nearly as bad, but still having the issue.With my mogul i had to call my voice mail sometimes ten times a day just to finish a text conversation.Constantly getting texts out of order killed me since I use my phone for work and send upwards of 100 texts per day.I live in the Seattle area and talked to advanced tech support tonight who said he reset all my internet settings and what not and i have yet to have any problem.Hopefully this is fixed soon.

Just to update on this issue. It's NOT a Touch Pro specific problem. My GF is now on her third Samsung Rant and still having delayed text and calls going directly to voicemail.

Also my daughter is having the same problems. She was using an LG Rumor. The very same Rumor that my GF WAS using before getting the Rant. When my GF had the Rumor, she didn't have any of these problems. I just got my daughter swapped to the Rant as well and her problems persist. The Rumor has now been handed down to my youngest daughter and she is not having the problems.

These problems have existed since around Nov 08. I have called Sprint on many many occasions. They have so far exhausted about all troubleshooting steps available to them from tier 2 tech support. The ticket has since been escalated.

I agree, not a Touch Pro problem, its a Sprint problem. I had a Samsung M500 with the same issue, upgraded to the Pro and the problem was still there. I have two other lines on my plan with two different phones and neither have the problem. My co-worker has a Palm Centro from Sprint with the same problem. Sprint is no help. I changed to the Telus radio today and so far it has fixed my delayed text messages. The time stamp is 3 hours off, but at least I am getting the messages within a minute of them being sent.

So far the Telus Radio has fixed my problem. I get text messages within a few minutes of being sent, usually under a minute. The time stamp being off is only when I am roaming and only sometimes at that. I assume it depends what network I am roaming on.

For the most part, it seems the issues are gone in my area... I hope they don't come back. This has been going on for too long for it to be bearable.

I've been having this problem for the last year or so. Lately it's been getting worse. Same problem in my new TP that I had with my Mogul. It's annoying.

What seemed to work sometimes was calling the Voice Mail, even then it wouldn't work. I had to call different numbers to get it to download my text messages. Also calls in my Mogul never came in, just straight to voice mail. There was some little tweaks that were done in the mogul to get it to work better. It killed the battery a little more, but seemed to work better. Something in an MSI setting or whatever. It's in this forum somewhere.
