at&t and sprint charging ports

Are the Sprint and AT&T charging ports identical?

I have recently purchased a travel-charger for the AT&T model and am now looking back wondering if it will be compatible with my Sprint TP.

I have never touched a GSM version but I can't think in manufacturing they would be different due to cost. All just mini-usb. Should exchange no prob.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.

I think you're right here. HTC is fantastic in the sense that their "proprietary" jack is backwards-compatible with regular mini-USB connectors. Every other HTC phone I've played with (the Mogul, 8525, G1, Tilt, maybe a couple others) used the same port as mine. Hell, I still use my mini-USB charger from my old Motorola Q in my car.

the kaiser used micro usb instead of mini usb so its a fair question I think.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the TP uses micro usb not mini. So did the kaiser (Tilt) both of which I carry. Chargers and data cables work interchangably with the FUZE, Sprint TP, and Tilt (Tytn II, Kaiser) this includes any standard mirco usb cables. Be wary of cheap chargers, they'll overcharge your battery and kill it.

Anyway, it's a mini USB, micro USB is smaller even... to be technical, it's a Mini-B (while the standard, full-size connector is called A)... but it's just commonly called USB mini.

I bought a car charger on ebay for a razr for $3 and some change shipped, works fantastic, gives the phone 1000mah even though it says it's only rated for 500mah. I wouldn't worry too much about overcharging your battery as the actual management of charging happens in the phone's hardware, not the charger.

yeah, but i believe he was comparing the fuze and TP ports. same phone, different carriers.
