Re: Slide to Answer/Ignore from Touch HD ***Dark Version*** w/ Dark Dialer

Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall the stock dialer to gain access to the ## codes again?

I uninstalled and now the dialer is all messed up. I can however reinstall the slider cab and all is well (with out the ## codes). I am looking to make a change to the Slot Cycle Index, then return to the Slide 2 Answer.

Would I be able to use the older phcanhtc.dll file to do this? If so, does someone have it?

Thanks!

Not a stupid question. ##CODES are more to do with the type of network you have (CDMA or GSM) than WinMo. ##CODES are used by CDMA carriers (Verizon, Sprint, etc.) the program the phones radio and data functions. Those functions are normally auto programmed, but the codes are used for manually or advanced editing. I don't reccomend messing with it too much if you are not familiar with it. For more info and a better understanding, you can go here.

I unchecked it and then checked it again to see if would work but unfortunately it did not. If I remove the cab then the phone does append the 1 before dialing as it is suppose to. I really love this Slide to Answer feature but I do require the append dialing feature as I travel a lot.

Thanks for all your help.

I am using V3

Thank you for bringing this up, I have duplicated your concern and will look into it. It may be in the phcanhtc.dll file also.

This is from the first post. I believe this is the way to not have the curtain.

Yes that is the way to disable the curtain. I am not a fan of it too, but a lot of people was asking for it. I found it easier to disable it, than to install it if you do like it. If you want to remove the files from your Windows directory for space concerns. The files associated with that is PhoneLockOn.bmp and PhoneLockOff.bmp may be deleted.

What font are you using in these pics? Its awesome! Also, where did you get the dark knight start icon? I would love to add these two to my phone!

I made CAB files for them both. To keep this thread on track, I will point you in the direction to both.

Start Icon
You can find my Dark Knight Start Icon here and other information about Icons in taskbar.

TF3D and System Font
I did two fonts, one for TF3D (home page and TF3D tabs like weather, music, etc.) and one for WinMo System Font. The one you are seeing and refering to is the WinMo System font with which I used a font called MarcosHand. I had to edit the font to better fit the size of WinMo windows. I basically took the MarcosHand Font, resized it and then renamed it Tahoma (which is what is the normal WinMo font). So anything that was in Tahoma font will now be in my modified MarcosHand. File explorer, programs, settings, even Opera, etc.

You can find the two CABs for the two fonts here. If you want info on how to make you own fonts, view that entire thread.

I am able to install and uninstall this with no problem. I have installed it fresh from Hard Reset, so there may be something conflicting. Did you install just my CAB or did you install the patch and/or any other S2A CABs from XDA? I know some of those CABs were having a hard time to uninstall.

If you have get all those installed again, installing my CAB last. Then uninstall them again, with CAB being the last to uninstall.

If that doesn't work and you just need to dialer to enable to do ##CODES, uninstall everything to so that it looks wierd. Do this Registry Edit:
HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin
"Enabled" change value to "0" from 1
Soft reset, you should be reverted back to the WinMo dialer but you should be able to see it fine and edit your SCI and then install again.

Try to install just my CAB first.

Good luck!

I beleive the non dormant data connection still persists. There has been mixed receptions about it though. Some have been saying that their data connection does not go dormant or suspend, and some have been saying that their's do. I looked at all of the registry changes and did not see anything that was causing it. It is either in the phcanhtc.dll file causing it or it is something else causing the conflict. My apologies.

no problem appreciate it so the only real downside is losing your ## features right?

I noticed something else interesting also. When I initially installed the white cab, I did not have issues with the data connection not going dormant. I worked as it always does, comes on initally and then grey arrows after a while. When I uninstalled the cab and reinstalled it I started having the data connection issues. I have since tried uninstalling and installing it a few times and the data stays on continously.

Not sure if this may help in any way, but I thought let you know my observation.

Thanks for the great job with this and all your prompt responses.:)
