Best Backup? Also, where are txt msgs?

Hey guys,

I'll be cooking my first rom soon and I'd like to know what the best way to backup is. I have all my contacts/pics/music already saved, what am I missing? How can I backup my text messages?

SPB Backup, Sprite, PIM Backup, just to name a few. Text messages are options in all of them. They're stored in a database, though, so it's not just a matter of copying a file.

Another option, which I strongly recommend, is Dashwire. It'll sync your text messages, contacts, pictures, etc. with their site, allowing access to your data from anywhere, and allowing easy restore onto a new phone or after a hard-reset. It'll even do all of the syncing in the background, automatically, as-needed, so you never have to remember to do it.

Same here i use PowerSMS because i have over 5k of messages and it always rearranges my texts

PIMbackup takes a while with a lot of contacts, messages, & other stuff

Resco Backup (on my mogul havent tried it on the touch pro) is great but when u restore your messages it wont even let you go to your messages after don't know why

spb backup Backs up almost everything so does sprite but you need to pay...Hint dont use sprite on trial version wont let you restore

You can also try smsCreative but its a betta

And yahoo is having a SMS backup online

http://in.content.mobile.yahoo.com/smsbackup.html

so does dashwire
