I keep losing the top 'bar' (start button and icons)
 

I wondered what I could do to stop 'losing' the top bar ](*,),
(start button and icons)? I have to soft reset to regain
the top bar. Any idea what is wrong and how to fix it?

First, custom or stock tytn???
Second hav u installed any themes or programs or anything???(gota start from the bottom)
but that's weird? backup, then hard reset

Are you using pocketshield by chance? That seems to do this. Also, theres a custom taskbar CAB around that does this as well but I don't remember which one.

Stock rom - I did disable the TF3D today plugin and Dialer.
hmms I did try a 3rd party start menu, and a top bar icon cab.
I just uninstalled those cabs and soft reset. 1st thing I note
is the Windows icon is back on the top left, (it had been replaced
by an HTC logo). I'll let it run a while and see if that fixed the
disappearing top bar. maybe the top bar icons program was
confusing Wm? Hopefully that will fix it then.

change your phone info. first. gets confusing talking about tf3d with mogul info. uninstall all your icons. if your using tsowen icons or the other cabs, just follow the directions in order of first page of the custom taskbar thread.

I fixed the phone info.. sorry. :(
I found a few more installed cabs
that are for things I'm using
so I deleted them, incase they
are interacting with the top bar issue.
