In the hand, the internal mech had failed. I was within the 30 days so I did a switch.
( reason for failure, co worker admitted to messing with it and dropping it while I was away freeing "hostages." And here I left it at the desk so I would not drop it in there! Now comes the fun of personalizing it all over again.. first that pesty message sent warning....

What is the reg edit that allows you to assign the long press for rotation? I searched but couldn't find it. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Enable Manual Screen Rotation (Portrait/Landscape):

HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation - HideOrientationUI (change from 1 to 0)

Change is immeditate effectively. No Reboot is required

You now have an Orientation Option and graphic in the Align the Screen "screen" (lol)

also, you can enable long press send key to Flip the screens orientation. Works flawlessly.

works and it reduces the number of installed cabs on your phone

It's a built in function of Windows Mobile 6.1 that was locked out.

Also your argument is stale, where in the specifications does it say the phone was designed to flip its orientation all the time? ::shrugs::

Also it appears the OP's hardware was broken after all, so =D>

I have posted this several time.. no idea why it doesn't show. maybe this time. The G-sensor had failed. I learned before swapping out that a coworker was messing with it while I was away freeing "hostages."
I have the new one.. everything is loaded back on.. just waiting on the high cap MicroSD to arrive to finish it off!
