Changing Taskbar & Bottom Bar to Black?

^^^I actually like that type of black a little better than solid black, because it'd mesh entirely with the TF3D slider colors. So I downloaded WisBar 3 and installed it, but it says

"In order to run WisBar 3, you must disable the HTC Task Manager"

How do I do that?

Yes, the file I attached ONLY changes the top and bottom bars to solid black. I'm looking for a .tsk today theme that has the glossy black. I'm sure there is one out there.

EDIT: I did a little bit of browsing, and found this app. http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...i-tweaker.html Apparently, it allows you to edit the color theme. It may work for you.

Start, settings, system click on task manager and choose button tab and disable the "x" button.

ui tweaker wont work on 6.1 for top and bottom bars.

So I tried WisBar but didn't like it. It messed up the taskbars and eventually changed them to colors I didn't like. So I come to you again - How do I get just solid black bars on the top and bottom? I saw the above post of the black bars, but it looks like a theme file that's going to change everything to stock except for the black bars.

Am I just not understanding TF3D themes very well or is it true that a "Black Bar".tsk file would revert everything except the bars back to factory defaults?

Wisbar will change the bars to any color you want (including solid black if that's what you want), but it does have a bit of a learning curve..........

Wisbar Advance is the most comprehensive skinning application for Windows Mobile. It's generally hard for the end-user to change just one color of the theme/os with it and is more geared towards full skins of the OS (see the Lakeridge forums for some themes).

UI Tweaker does work, for me it does, start it and go to (WM5Color Changer) Tap it Then go to Launch/ Soft Key Background And Taskbar Background set to 0 0 0 . softreset.

Thanks for the tip, although to be brutally honest, I HATE WisBar. It's one of the ugliest, dumbest looking programs I think I've ever seen. To me, it looks like a downgrade of epic proportions... but to each their own. The ONLY reason I even downloaded the demon program was to change the colors of the taskbars and then uninstall it, keeping only those two changes. Could ANYBODY tell me which version works best to change the taskbar colors to just a flat, solid black? And if at all possible, a click by click guide? I'm generally not this stupid when it comes to PPCs but lord do I feel dumb right now. I've gone through 2 different versions, the second one (older version, 3.01) was a little closer to what I wanted after I clicked 'Menu' in the color section and clicked 'Customize' and saw I could change a few colors there.

But like I said, I'm STILL drawing a blank here and slowly getting more and more frustrated. Thanks for all attempts though, guys!

LOL, you're not supposed to see Wisbar at all except for the little program manager arrow at the top.

To change the bars to a custom color, click the program manager arrow, click settings, theme, Wisbar Theme, menu, customize. Then click Softkeys & then background. In there, you can change/experiment with any colors you want. It can be a solid color or fade from one to another.

When you're done there, do the same thing for the Taskbar settings.
