you know you can turn off that feature if you want to? I didnt like it either so i disabled it and just have the stripe showing. very nice.

I'm using a taskbar bar battery meter so the stripe doesn't work for me. So far I've been happy with the last 3 or 4 versions of Pocketshield and it's features.

Yea, they really nailed it with the latest version (that was released a few weeks ago) IMHO.

Although it is not free, this program is worth every penny IMHO.

i also use pocketshield. seems great.

what's ridiculous is that we're all hunting down the perfect program for something that should be included from the factory...

Yea, I totally agree. I also use PS after trying like 3 other systems & this is what should have been included on day one.

I have a very stupid question. What is the purpose of 'locking' the screen? Is it a 'security' thing - so no one could see your emails, messages, files, etc?

The one I use has been floating around various forums for a while, it's called Device Lock. It basicly adds some features to the exsisting lock program. The "Blank Screen" feature is my favorite, as it will keep programs open like media players while turning off the screen and locking the keys. To turn the screen back on just hit the power button on top and unlock the device by hitting the left soft key & unlock button on screen. 8)

Thanks guys for your replies =D> Looks like I may be going back to the drawing board as sensor lock has started to not recognize my gestures requiring several attempts to unlock it. Tried Throttle Lock and well just don't like it. I'm giving the pocket shield a try now. Wow when i started this I was under the impression that S2U2 had most issues of any locking app wow was I wrong.

S2U2 is a very good program, I have very few problems when I was using it, the only reason I switched was that I began using SPB Mobile Shell and wanted the option of seeing the now screen when I unlocked my phone. Currently I am using the latest version of sensor lock (not sure of the number) I have edited the gestures so that if I hit the standby button after pulling it out of the holster it will be unlocked by the time i look at it. I also made the lock sequence complicated because I really only lock my phone by putting it into stand by. I have not experienced any issues with it not recognizing my gestures either.
