Syncing with Macbook over Bluetooth

Okay, so I just got a new Macbook (My first Mac) last night and I downloaded Missing Sync but I can't seem to get it working to where Missing Sync actually sees my Touch Pro. I have paired the Touch Pro with the Macbook, both devices see eachother but the Missing Sync program doesn't see it I guess. I looked on Missing Syncs site and the only thing I found was changing the Bluetooth Type to RS-232. That didn't seem to do anything though.

Could someone help me out with this, maybe give me some step by step instructions.

There are probably some settings I am supposed to change but I don't know what they are.

nothing? i'm still in the same spot. when i open missing sync it lets me hit the sync button but then everything just says failed. and if I open activesync on the phone it says can't connect to the PC.

Someone has to be using missing sync over bluetooth.

Try SyncMate.
You can sync directly with USB or through WiFi to your mac.

Yea, that's what I'll end up doing if I have to. But I wanted to get it working over bluetooth.

I sync my TP over BT with my Macbook Pro. From Active Sync on the Pro, there is an option to "connect via BT". Are you hitting that button? (FWIW, I think the first time I sync'd with the MBP I used a usb cable-but I don't think that matters). I am using Missing Sync.

Yea I've tried that too.

I get a message that says, "Cannot connect using Bluetooth to a PC that supports ActiveSync. You may be out of range. Would you like to create a Bluetooth partnership with a different PC?"

But the phone is right next to it, and I have Activesync checked on the Macbook device in the phone bluetooth settings.

I've been able to get my phone to share it's internet with the Macbook, just can't sync it for some reason. It synced via USB just fine. Also I can use the Bluetooth Explorer just fine and it connects no problem as well.

Also if I try and click "Connect to Network" on the Macbook for the phone when it's in range it comes up with this message. "Bluetooth network failed. Failed to open a connection to the network service. Your device may have reached its maximum number of supported network connections."

I know that's not what I want to do but maybe it has something to do with it?

Re: Syncing with Macbook over Bluetooth

Ok, so no idea what I did differently but I finally got it working.

What I did:

1.) I deleted the partnership from both Mac and Phone.

2.) Then went into Activesync on the phone and hit connect via bluetooth. It said there wasn't a PC because there wasn't so I said yes I want to connect one.

3.) Then Activesync took me to the bluetooth settings on the phone and I setup everything the same way I was before.

So the only difference was me initiating a bluetooth sync in activesync before I actually had a partnership at all. Then taking the option from Activesync to setup the partnership.

Not sure why I had to do that but it's working fine now. What a stupid problem this was, that took me 3 days to figure out how to rig it to work correctly. At least it's working...

It took some time for me too. Finally got it working but I'll tell you.. It is TERRIBLY Slow to load, especially making file browsing (mount function) unusable. Did you experience this as well?
