Question about entering SIM card unlock code (network unlock code)

I got the network unlock code for my HTC fuze (AT&T's version of HTC pro) so I can use the phone with another carrier. I was told that I need to enter the unlock code when I put in the SIM card from another carrier (non-at&t).

I dont have another SIM card at my disposal (most people I know are on AT&T or Sprint[CDMA]) and I'd really like to unlock this phone before I take it to another country to use it.

Is there a way to get the phone to prompt me to enter the unlock code without having to get hold of another SIM card?

Thanks a lot.

Re: Question about entering SIM card unlock code (network unlock code)

From what i have found, If you have CDMA device
we have an icon named SECURITY under the PERSONAL tab
in the SETTINGS.
If you have GSM you will have to put in a SIM and the screen
will pop up asking you for the code.
