My Voice Command is working!!

Change to these registry tweaks and your voice command will announce calls, make sure you enable it to announce calls in the settings. I found this tweak from Kaos in his ROM thread on another site, the only downfall is the announcment is kinda low, but you can still hear it.

HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Category: change VoiceCommand1 to Ring
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Script: change as5p to v0p (for vibrate and ring) or p (for ring only)

That doesn't work for everybody & even when it does the announcments are so low you can barley hear them so it's pretty useless.

Actually, I can hear my announcements via bluetooth headset just fine. The tweak was a welcomed improvement for me, so I wouldn't totally dismiss it if it's something that you want. It may work for you, it may not.

So this is useful for when you're connected via bluetooth and dont want to have a ringtone in your ear?

I get the first ringtone in my ear, and then it switches to the announcement. It announces, "Call from John Smith" or "Call from 214-222-3333".

I spend most of my day in the car, so this is particularly useful to me because (obviously) I don't have to look at my phone to decide whether or not I want to answer.

Yes it actually works pretty good for me too. I actually have it play out of my speaker most of the time and I can hear it just fine.

That is understandable and I am leaning toward making the tweak since my bt is on my ear most of the time, but how do you do when you are off bt at home or wherever....can you hear dat isht?:scratch::mrgreen:

If you are close enough, yes, but then again, you can always assign ringtones to people natively or use a 3rd party program to assign tones to groups.

I can hear it just fine without my bt on. I think it is definately better then not having it at all.

I could too when it worked. The problem is, I hard reset the phone once for an unrelated problem & I haven't been able to get it to work since.

I work in a fairly noisy environment (there is a lot of BG noise) & nobody at work could hear or understand an incoming ring announcement (it wasn't just me). This seems to be a pretty standard complaint, if they ever get it working correctly I may re-enable it but at this point I don't miss it a bit.

It is also a HUGE memory hog although that doesn't matter if you have a sprint TP.
