Re: adding home town to weather
i don't know where i got it from, but using nueinstaller, there is a uscities zip file that you can install and it make the weather cities all US. and i think it probably has most cities, large and small in the US. if anyone is interested, i can post the file.

Re: adding home town to weather
I had it already, was looking to read more into it.. realized a simplier way to add once you have that installed. just select an existing city that you do not care to know the weather about.. and edit the state and city code.

all you do is copy the zip file i've attached to your SD card, install nuepackage installer and run, when it asks you for a file to install, select the US weather cities from your SD card. once it's installed, soft reset and check the weather. you should see several cities already there, just delete them. then add new city. you will see all the states. then you can select the states and then any city with the state. there should be letter jumps so you can get your city faster without scrolling a lot. and guys. don't forget the thanks button!! |
Re: adding home town to weather
I've installed the database but there is no option to add a custom city and now the current ones shows show IDS_STATE_0 and all of them show 32degrees (f).

Use this, it always works for me. But you cant uninstall it or youll lose your cities.
I included the NET CF 3.7 also. Cities go in this format: NAM|US|ST|CITY (OR ZIP) So if you live in Cincinnati Oh, it would look like this: NAM|US|OH|CINCINNATI Augusta KY: NAM|US|KY|AUGUSTA Only use your ZIP, if you get the IDS error. I dont have one off hand to show as an example. |
Re: adding home town to weather
Thanks. I uninstalled it and everything went back to normal. Looking further, I found HTC Weather Master and works like a charm.
