Maybe your cord have a short somewhere. Have you tried another aftermarket cord?

Yup its not checked. There is no over heating, no nothing. Just won't work out without the plug. I tried plenty of usb chargers EVEN the one that came with this phone but it won't work unless I use the small plug.

Sounds like the port is messed up.
Standard MINI usb plugs messed up my moguls plug and it will only work with the adapter now or if you put pressure on it a certain way.

My phone will actually stop charging during data sometimes, its really annoying.
GL with a fix.

Yes.. HTC will warranty the phone for up to one year... Make sure you have all your purchasing information handy.. It will take a while to process though from what I have heard.. Also.. You can go to Sprint and ask for a replacement.. I believe they will swap it out, even if you don't have TEP.. If it's a hardware issue..
