uninstalling programs

i have a simple question. when you uninstall an app, it still has the icon in the program section. how do you get rid of the icon? thanks for any help.

windows folder,programs.delete it there.

Delete the link from there.

that and also check the program files directory, and look for any folders named like the program that you deleted, and if the folder is still there, delete it and reset it. its usually something lingering in the windows directory of file explorer though
