Disable Power Off in USB Mode
 

Does anyone know of a way to prevent the phone from powering off when it's in USB Disk Drive mode? It's kinda annoying when you're transferring a file and it cuts out.

My screen goes out but it doesn't turn off the device and I can still transfer files. I do this at work sometimes to stream music to my work PC. I am using the stock ROM if that helps.

I found something kinda weird today... If WMP is open when the phone is in USB mode, it won't power off.

i'm in the same boat. i'm trying to copy a bunch of music to mine right now. it keeps failing after a few minutes.

Goto /Settingd/Power/Advanced and either uncheck "Turn off device if not used for" or check it and set it to 30 min, that should be enough time to transfer ur files...lol

Then it's not enough time, uncheck it.

read my previous post. it happens within a minute or two. i wonder if the backlight needs to be on...gonna try that.

Yes I did read it, but if you uncheck it, it will never turn off as long as it's plugged to USB.

But then won't it stay on when on the charger?
