Custom Ringers???
 

I understand how to apply custom ringers to contacts but how do i apply them to received messages. I want to personalize my messages from different contacts. I went in message settings but it won't even let me set one of my custom ringers to the default message ringtone. I also tried dragging my custom ringtone in the folder with all the other alarms and rings but it still didn't work. Is there a certain type format that it reads?

You can't for individuals as of yet. You can set a customized ringer for messages as a whole meaning every text you receive will use that custom ringer but not for every text sent by different people.
