I did do a soft reset and my banner is fixed, however, I still have the 1X icon in my status instead of EV etc...

Awesome Job, just a quick Q...

When using the qpst, it sees my TP as WinCE and not 7500. Then when going in to program device it asks for a base as it does not recognize. The highest is around 6100... I am probably doing something stupid, but this was after a hard reset as well.

I had the same problem in qpst until I upgraded the version of qpst I was running using the link in the first post. If you are running an older version of qpst it may not know about the device.

VZ Navigot way to get GPS fix for first time
 

Quick Way to get a fix on GPS but it requires dealing with VZW.

If your struggling and "desperate" to get that first fix do this...

Call VZW and have your phone provisioned for VZ Navigator. Install the app and get a fix one single time. Close app. Launch GPS app of you choice and you will be locked. You can than uninstall VZ Navigator and cancel subscription. I just did that because I had to hard reset. Couldnt get a lock right away so I just cheated the system ;c) I do however keep my subscription as one day I may need it. You never know.

Guys, the ONLY way you're using aGPS on Verizon, is if you're using VZNav and using LBSDriver, or if you applied my fix via QPST and the cab I posted (doesn't use LBSDriver). If you aren't doing one of those two things, you are NOT using aGPS.

Yup. It was. But when you hard reset it you have to re-install.

Thanks for clarifying that GC. If you were reffering to my most recent suggestion dealing with VZ Nav that wasnt the point. The point was to use VZ Nav as a primer. The trick works without doubt. You cant NOT get a lock when you do this :P Just a thought for those who seem to have issues with this. I was pretty lucky. On a brand new phone, no aGPS, nothing, fresh from VZW store. Not even owner info i unlocked, flashed my ROM, and applied the fix. Picked up in Live search in under 2 two minuted first time and then subsequent locks were 15 to 60 seconds. Phone has stayed like that since. This thing is so far ahead of the titan and vogue its not funny!!! Im very impressed with the phone and the hack that bored created.

Our devices are now THE BOMB!

And GC, Thanks for fixing the Roaming Triangle!! That was a nice addition!

link doesn't work anymore says max downloads exceeded...

I was using the QPST build that was posted on the titan wiki (2.7 build 215) but it doesn't have the "SURF7500A" for phone... it says it's "WinCE"... If I click ok to open the connection it says: "The model selected is unknown. Please select a base model from the list of known phone models:"

drop down list shows other surf ones but no surf7500a... I guess I need a newer build of QPST.. will wait for link to updated.

is anybody else having problems with MMS with the GPS unlocked?
