Re: CDMA Touch Pro Teardown!!
Did this find anything else out, like why KB lighting is uneven or why some phones speakers are compromised, or maybe why the hardware KB is so slow compared to a software KB, screen edge sensitivity? Have any DIY improvements been found?
THANKS!!!! P.S. I saw a AT&T Fuze today, and I must say, that much of the phone looked to be a better build quality then the Sprint TP. Not every aspect of the phone (The KB was the same) but remove the back cover and see that it is a better plastic, look at the inside, the speaker, the antenna layout, just all of it looked better, the sides of the phone looked better without the chrome, the screen did not have a sensitivity issue that I could find... Just thought I would share, I would only expect someone who has seen one to understand what I am saying, wish I had one to compare... |
Re: CDMA Touch Pro Teardown!!
All I know is that seeing the insides of a TP is like seeing your own guts hanging out after an accident. Nasty! Makes me cringe but cool as he**! I know you guys will figure out the FM deal! I have faith in all you guys in here!

Re: CDMA Touch Pro Teardown!!
There is a registry edit in the Touch Pro Essential thread that increases screen sensitivity..I like seeing the pics personally Gator.. Always nice to know what it looks like on the inside..

Re: CDMA Touch Pro Teardown!!
The BRF6350 bluetooth chipset does have FM radio on board. I don't know if the BL version might have FM absent or not, though.

Re: CDMA Touch Pro Teardown!!
TP is sexy inside as it is on the outside.

Re: CDMA Touch Pro Teardown!!
Looking closely it appears the TP has the same configuration around the BRF6350 as the Experia does (which has the FM radio)....definately looks as though the nessasary hardware may be there, though there is not enough detail to know for sure.

http://focus.ti.com/pdfs/wtbu/ti_bluelink_6_brf6350.pdf I can't find anything about the BRF6350BL so I don't know if BL just stands for TI's "Blue Link". Just guessing. Chris |
Re: CDMA Touch Pro Teardown!!
The Experia is GSM though so it had a different chipset...

Re: CDMA Touch Pro Teardown!!
A minor update... In the link posted on the OP, in the comments section, there has been talk about the connectors on the mainboard that look like antenna connections... I thought to update you all on this.. Might be informational...
