many apps I try to run (camera, google maps, a game, etc...) all say low memory.

I don't have any programs currently running (as far as I know), except TouchFlo 3D, and the screen rotating program. How do I clean it up? I may do a hard reset, and be careful about what apps I install.

Brings back memories of the 6700 & 6800...

Other than the memory (and locked GPS), I love the phone! :) (yes, I know I can get the Sprint version. I'm considering it).

Sounds like you either have a Mogul or a Verizon version of TP:mrgreen: no for real man, it sounds like you checked your task mgr and nothing is running, this is so weird man, how long have you had the phone, when did it start doing this isht? did you install anything recently? running stock I guess?

yeah the vzw TP is crazy crippled... if you paid full price or more than 300, i suggest you return it and go get a sprint one and get it cookin... its a disgrace what they did to that phone, and they made it longer to accomodate a lil bit bigger keyboard(which has the M button in an odd place)... ugh...

change your phone info. then switch opera cache from windows to internal. or get a new sprint pro.

To free up my Touch Pro's ram I deleted the Voice Command ant the Poutlook files from the Windows/startup folder, as far as the keyboard the Verizon Touch Pro's keyboard has the biggest keys and we all knoew bigger keys= faster typing

I turned off touchflo, then disabled the HTC dialer skin. Sits 47-48% used and is signifigantly faster. Heck, I was watching a 700meg DVD rip of kill bill without a skip or hiccup.


With those 2 things deleted from the startup, now I'm at 41%, 67 meg FREE

Wow, 15mb free on a pro. That's pretty amazing. My Mogul has a bit more then that free under normal use.

What the heck do they have loaded on that thing?

I don't have a userguide folder on my device, do you mean \help? I put my opera cache from 4000 to 500, didnt notice how I can change its location.

maybe vzw dont have one. mine was in windows and had its own folder. you can change opera cache also, so its stored on internal instead of windows.

How to move your Opera Cache:

1. Using your favorite file explorer (Note: the stock Windows Mobile file explorer won't work) navigate to the \Windows\Opera folder.
2. Click on the "opera.ini" file. When it asks which program you want to open the file, choose "Notes."
3. Scroll down to the [User Prefs] section and insert the following line: Cache Directory4=\Storage Card\operacache\
4. Create a folder on your memory card called "operacache"
5. Click "OK" and you're done.

(make sure Opera browser is CLOSED while doing this)


You guys, seriously, moving cache and deleting files from the Windows folder WILL NOT CREATE MORE PROGRAM RAM for you. It just creates more Storage.

If you have a few mb left, do a soft-reset by pressing the hole on the bottom, or turn the phone off, then back on. You should be back up to 40-50mb free
