Re: HTC Touch Pro - broken after 5 days.
If you jam the stylus in there of course its going to break..Has nothing to do with poor design/placement.. I personally think the stylus is placed good. I have also dropped my phone a few times and the stylus hasnt fell out once.....

Re: HTC Touch Pro - broken after 5 days.
I actually got it stuck on the switch once when I was trying to put in the stylus at a funny angle in the dark.
I now watch how I put my stylus in. It would have been better to put the switch in the center as the OP stated. |

Re: HTC Touch Pro - broken after 5 days.
then youd still ahve people jamming it in and breaking it... lesson here is to treat your phone like its expensive not like its from the sale bin at toys r us

Re: HTC Touch Pro - broken after 5 days.
I didn't even know it was there, but I stick my stylus in straight.
Cmon now, as a guy, you learn pretty quick to stick it in relatively straight |

Re: HTC Touch Pro - broken after 5 days.
I use my stylus a LOT. That trigger has held up very well.

The part does look flimsy, but I never jam my stylus.
In case you were wondering, the screen doesn't turn with the magnet, it's with that switch.

Re: HTC Touch Pro - broken after 5 days.
So here's the problem....
1. Pull the stylus from your phone. 2. Make sure your sensor rocker switch is up. 3. Hold phone with power button towards your chest looking down on the sensor rocker switch... 4. Looking at it from this angle, the TOP part of my rocker switch is up. This is the second phone I received like this, however my friends has the BOTTOM part of his rocker switch up. This is a critical assembly flaw. Question: Which way is your rocker switch "ramp" facing? If you can take a picture, that would be even better! When I put my stylus in.... I am jamming against the ramp, like this: -----stylus--> |\ <--sensor "ramp" When my friend puts his in, he is going up the ramp, smoothly depressing the sensor on the way in, like this: ----stylus-->/| <--- sensor "ramp" All I can say is, you might consider this when buying your HTC touch Pro. I've seen 2 out of 3 with the part presumably being put on backwards. Last edited by twmobile; 12-25-2008 at 02:12 PM. |
