Messed up my tabs/slider

I was installing themes & clocks & stuff, now the slider background tab is in front of the currently selected item instead of behind. Two questions:

1. How do I fix this short of hard reset or using the touch diamond config utility to restore the screen (for the umpteenth time)?
2. What is the proper terminology for the item I'm having a problem with?

A suggestion (I didn't see this in the FAQs, although maybe I missed it):

Add a picture to the FAQ outlining what each item is on the phone so that when someone asks a question, they'll know what to call the item they're having an issue with. It's just that I've read various posts throughout this site where people are referring to one thing and people think they're referring to another.

Oh, and if it isn't covered already, could someone outline how to change the TF3D home screen's wallpaper in the FAQ? That's one of the things I see people asking over & over in the post your homescreen pages.

Thanks!!

Try going in reverse order of what you installed, removing each one at a time, and soft resetting after each un-install until the problem goes away.. It must be a compatibility issue between something you installed.. By the way, what exactly did you install?

I've tried going backwards, but since I've been installing clocks & other things over each other, I can't uninstall everything. I've also been reinstalling what is in my remove progs list, and then removing it. But that got too time consuming.

I think what caused the problem was one of the themes I put on - might have been a silver surfer theme. I already had a flip clock & tabs on all backgrounds going, then when I put up a theme (I think it was this one), I saw the problem, and didn't have the flip clocks, nor backgrounds.

So, I tried fixing the clocks & backgrounds, hoping the tab thing would also get fixed. I also installed the notopcurtain & then nocurtains. Everything else looks good now except for this issue.

I'll keep trying.

Well, I didn't want to do that, but I think I know the things I like, as well as the order of the things I like. I know it'll work, it's fixed all my other goofups. I'll let you know if it works. I'll also pay more attention next time and if I see this problem happen again, I'll just uninstall the thing that caused it.

The problem is fixed with this, and I was able to get everything back the way I wanted (sans a theme), after a little bit of working on the phone. Less than 10 minutes now that I had the order of files written down.
