YouTube VGA on Herman/Raphael not possible? (searched)
 

Is there a 100% working YouTube app for the Touch Pro with custom roms?

I've seached all over for a solution to get YouTube on my Touch Pro, and I've run across various solutions but none that work like the phone did out of the box. Some cabs have a QVGA app + VGA skin and some just don't play the sound. I've tried like 5-6 possibilities, and again, none of them work.

Does anybody have one that they installed and verified working?

SOLVED

Install HTC TouchFlo (non-3D) and YouTube will work! Credit to DA_G: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=47737

I just flashed a new rom and I can confirm it works..

here you go bro I got this from a fellow member who found it. Took me way the hell to find a working one as most of the custom aps even the kitchen's youtube doesn't work.

So I'm not the only one with the problem of cooking it into the rom?

EDIT: Same thing it looks like. Installed, soft reset, run YouTube - either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. Running it from the Start menu does absolutely nothing..

Have you not tried the best rom out there? Juggalo's rom works awesome with youtube. Probably better than sprint stock.

Tried it and it wasn't 100% to my liking.. which is the reason many people cook their own roms to begin with I guess :)

Looks like you just have to install HTC TouchFlo (non-3d) as well in order for YouTube to work..

for some reason my phone will not let me install the touch flo. It says I do not have permission. anyone have an idea of how to get it installed?

This is a good reason why we should have a ppc cab repository, so we don't keep passing files around with different names that don't work :P

but definitely update us if you do find one that works.
