TP Rev A Question

Quick question regarding Rev A on the TP. In the EPST settings Rev A is currently showing "Enable". From what I recall on the 6800 this indicated that Rev A was off and needed to be ticked so that it showed "Disable" - although there was some debate about this. This is the stock Sprint ROM.

Thanks.

You are right man, I do recall the Mogul debate and the whole nine bout Rev a enable/disable.It is however showing enable on teh TP epst and that is the proper setting otherwise I wont be dowloading at 1700 kbps. I do not know about the upload since I only use dslreport.com. it is definitely Rev A with a+

I figured as much as this decive was issued with Rev A already rolled out and supported but figured it would be prudent to ask.

Re: TP Rev A Question

Not a bad question at all man. For JUMPOFF, no debate here man just clarifications only. When the Mogul Rev A/ GPS release was rolled out there was a debate whether "Rev A' under EPST should say enable or disable....that was a long debate .However with the TP, there is no debate the thing says enable and is enabled. point blank. Peace

Re: TP Rev A Question

It'd be nice to actually get Rev A speeds. I'm getting around 300 kbps through opera mobile. This is in the middle of Knoxville. Local Sprint rep explains that it's because of high traffic on the local cell sites (the cell site that services my home also services a large sprint store, mall, and heavy shopping district).

Re: TP Rev A Question

What the Rep said does make sense... CDMA technology's greatest weakness is high traffic.. Higher traffic= lower throughput per person...
