Background programs?

Is there an app that will let you shut down background apps that don't show in the Task Manager? On a daily basis I have to reset the phone at least twice just to clear the memory. There's GOTTA be a way.

e.g. callfirewall is running in the background, I wanna shut it down completely. Palringo stays resident in the background, So does Diamond Background. I'm sure there are god knows how many other apps that stay open in the background hogging memory, I just want a way to actually close these apps without a soft reset.

Re: Background programs?

when you hit the x to close a program, use the dropdown and tap on tools. theres a setting to close all programs by tapping x, check that. may do what you want.

i already have that setting ticked. I'm talking about applications that won't show up in the task manager but run in the background... (palringo, diamond background)

Many task managers such as the one with AE Buttons or SPB will show all of the running tasks. I have AE Buttons assign the long press of volume down to the task manager so I can switch or close apps quickly.

You can also use MemMaid.
