Aeb plus mapping issue.
Just downloaded aeb plus. I like the normal stock functions of the hardware buttons but I just wanted to add to them. Everything on this forum points to people who have "ONE" button doing multiple actions. For example 1 tap, vs double tap, vs long hold operate 3 different function for the same button.
My problem is I can't seem to figure out how to do any more than one action for each button. I'd like my circle button to keep it's action and "enter" for single tap but I'd also like it to run an application on a long hold. What am I not seeing? |
Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
i had it on my last rom and if i remember correctly, after you select the button you want, the first dropdown box is whether or not to have aeb handle it, then the second dropdown box, that is where you pick single/double/triple click

Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
Yea, you just keep clicking in the area where the new command is and keep adding new commands.
It's pretty simple. you can't screw up, so play with the program. if you want long press, dont forget to enable it. Last i checked though, AEBkeys was messing up for me and not using my binded keys. I found that long press got unchecked. I havn't used the keys since so i duno. |
Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
Thanks guys, I just wasn't seeing it for some reason. Thanks!!!!!
So far the program works like a charm on the touch pro. |
Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
Does this app still only work AFTER the button is released?

Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
I tried to buy this from handapro or whatever that site was and it said it wasn't compatible with the touch pro? What gives?

Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
If I just stick with the free version, i'll just see a startup window when I start my phone and that's it right? All I wanted was to start task facade with a long key press and I've got that, so if a startup window is all I have to put up with then I think I'm good.

Good to know, I might actually go ahead and buy this then. That looks really useful.

Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
Is it just me, or does aebplus not work in TouchFlo or Opera? I mapped long keypress of Ok/Close (back arrow) to bring up handyswitcher, but it doesn't work in those two apps.

Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
AE is absolutely necessary in the TP since they eliminated all the dedicated hardware buttons like the titan/moguls had (it still irritates me that the TP has no scroll wheel)
I use Vito SMS-Chat & with AE I map it to open with a double click from the round center button. This is awesome as it allows me to instantly get to my texting program from ANY screen I'm in, it makes no difference if I'm in TF3D Rhodium/OperaMini/iris etc etc etc, two quick clicks & my texting program is open & running & ready to send or answer anything..... I use AE for other stuff also, but that one text function is the one I couldn't live without...... ~John |

Re: Aeb plus mapping issue.
Hmm. I'm probably dense, but I don't understand that screenshot. Is that while doing AEB setup? Cause my list of options looks a lot like that, but I didn't write a list of commands.
I do really like this program. I use it to change profiles quick, turn BT and WiFi on & off, get to a timer (which I need often), run the RAM cleaner thingy, and a couple other things. Didn't work with pocketshield for me with some ROMs, but the 2 work great together for me on the recent Mighty 6.1. |
