Sprint Navigation & SERO
 

I just turned it on for the first time since I got the phone back in November. It did not ask me anything or gave any warnings about charges. Asked my name, and email address, and that was it.

Is this thing for free or not?

I did some search, and answers were some what not there.

I dont have SERO so idk if its free with you guys. But i would assume its comes included with any unlimited data plan. I use simply everything and its included.

I checked other threads, and people were saying they recieved some warning about charges, but for some reason, I did not get it.

Anyone out there using this w/ SERO?

its free. you get the warning about charges for the period that the trial would normally apply, then it goes away and you can keep using it.

not free with sero. need to pay 9.99. there is a 3 day trial.

ive had sero for a while and on the old touch i got the warning about the trial. but on the pro no warning, so i believe it is now free. i guess we'll find out when the bill gets here.

The Sprint Navigation IS NOT included in the old SERO plan. The SERO includes Unlimited Text, Data, and Picturemail. You must contact Customer Care and have it added to your plan unless you want to get hit with the charge. If not then you will be charged the standard rates per day that apply.

So to add the plan, it will cost how much? 9.99 a month? Quite mixed answers here..

I got the prompt after the 3 day trial no SERO here just unlimited data but it went away.

it doesnt really matter to me..But Sprint Navigation is NIIIICE! i hooked the video out cable up in my car to my indash and i ran sprint navigation to find the dmv and baaamm..it gave me turn by turn instructions..i was so excited i didnt care if i got charged!

Sprint Navigation is NOT part of the SERO plan. If you look online at your sprint account information, it is not listed as one of the features of the plan. Now I don't know about the warning "disappearing" thing.. But technically it's not part of the SERO plan.

well lets specify- it is NOT part of the old $30/50 SERO but it IS part of the new whatever they call SERO now.

No Sprint Nav with old SERO Plans but included in new SERO (Everything Plus). But I have an old SERO and went to TeleNav (runs Sprint Nav) and purchased 4 years at $250 and it comes out to $5 per month and istead of $9.99. I log into Sprint Nav all is the same and cheaper per month but more $$ of front.

i would suggest TomTom7 over sprint nav, or google maps / live search for a free simple solution

I don't see any TomTom maps for the US on their website that work with tt7

Google maps is not turn by turn directions as is TeleNav, and most SERO plan holders use TomTom 7, i heard it works pretty well. I still rather TeleNav its so awosome. I have simply everything.

If you have the OLD sero plan, then its not Free, but if your on the new Everything plus plan, then it is included.

I have not received any warning of a trial for Sprint Nav on the TP (old SERO plan). I just started it yesterday = will I receive a warning of extra charges? Will it expire after 5 days or so? I just don't want to get charged as you can imagine ;) TomTom7 works and looks great on the TP so Sprint Nav really only offers traffic updates over TomTom7.

Well today it stopped working again saying that I needed to purchased it trial was over?!

+1 same here...if you hard reset your phone you get another 5 days free...but it's almost not worth it.
