Sprint navigation on the touch pro free?

just as it says in the title...I have sprint everything plan and I'm wondering if sprint navigation is free...I haven't worn out the trial on my phone because it says there is about 5 hrs left of airtime, but I thought it was free on the phone with the everything plan?

Assuming you have the Simply Everything or the Everything Data plan, it is indeed free.

Funny I actually called Sprint and even though I have the $99/month unlimited plan, they told me I would still get charged $9.99 per month above and beyond for the service.

Originally when I launched the app, it said there were like 4 days remaining for my trial period and would count down the days- I would assume it would stop working.

I clicked the app today and it didn't stop me from using it nor give any warnings. I don't want any surprises on my bill.

Can anyone confirm otherwise?

If you go to the sprint website and look at the plans it does show that unlimited sprint navigation is included in the simply everything and everything data plans, if they charge you they will surely remove it.

I have the everything plan and I got the same message on my TP when I first got it. Once the 5 day trial period passes it won't come back. And it is free with the everything now plan.

Is there a way to change the route to "Avoid Toll ways" in the Sprint Navigator? I don't see this option anywhere. There's only an option to Avoid Highways. I want to be able to get on the highway, just not the toll roads...

It is even part of the PowerVision plan at only $15 per month.

I've heard people calling Sprint and bugging them until they gave it to them. Which is believable because you can't add anything to a SERO plan so the only option is for them to give it to you. I personally use iGo or Google Maps so I don't care to try myself. Although I used it once on my old Touch and it was actually pretty sweet! lol Maybe I should call Sprint tomorrow! haha

im a sprint employee. $15 power vision package does NOT include Sprint Nav. Any of the "everything" packages include it. Your phone doesnt know your on a everything plan, which is why it still says trial when u first activate it

As far as Sero accounts, im not too sure, ive heard different things

Success - Pretty sure the Everything messaging plan does not include Nav. Just unlimited text and Direct Connect. At least that's how the terms on Sprint's site make it to be.

I have 2 TPs both on SERO plans and just put KK's ROM on both of them. It allows me to use Sprint Navigation for free without any prompts or limitations. I didn't call in about this or anything. It was actually a shock to me.

I think you have to wait until the end of your billing cycle, to see if you get charged or not. It's not just the prompt...

It just ended.

Re: Sprint navigation on the touch pro free?

If you want free sprint navigation, you can always use the trial period, hard reset, and use it again. I've done that a couple of times and still seems to work for me. The obvious drawback would be having to hard reset the phone whenever you want this. Which probably kills the idea or solution, lol. Not that there aren't better solutions for people that don't have the everything plan. Just thought I'd share, in case no one had realized this.

I've had the everything plan for a year now and sprint nav is indeed free. Telenav is $9.99 a month

i work for Sprint and if you have the Simply Everything, Everything Data (individual or shared) you have free navigation

Re: Sprint navigation on the touch pro free?

I don't have an everything plan, just vision on an old F&F plan, and navigation is definitely not free. The trial period ended and is asking for me to pay...oh well.

I can confirm, simply everything + sprint navigation = no additional fees.

HBOOT 05-18-2009 09:12 AM

Re: Sprint navigation on the touch pro free?

The old Sero is no longer available, it is a heavily discounted plan
500 min including all you can eat data and text 30 bucks
1250 min for 50 bucks

The name and plan changed to the following:
