go to settings, sounds & notifications & turn off the sound.

U can't turn it off that way...I think u have to do a RedEdit to get rid of the message sent pop up and that would solve your problem..

Does anyone know how to just disable the sound and not the message pop-up? I also have an HTC Touch Diamond that will send the message and generate the pop-up, but it won't play a sound.

just turn it off in the sound settings for messaging...
