How to reflash VZW stock OS to HTC Touch Pro
 

Hi all,

I messed around with my Pro:
- unlocked it using HSPL
- flashed ROMeOS2 to it

Now it's stuck in a reset loop - only makes it to the 1st screen (Verizon Wireless, Please wait, Phone is starting up) for 15 seconds before resetting, repeat.

How to I get the stock OS back on? I read something about a radio? What is that?

1) Re-lock using the Relocker tool that was included in the original unlocker application.
2) Download and install the Verizon OEM Pre-Ship ROM that was posted here long time ago. I believe you can find it in the "Sprint Touch Pro on Verizon" thread: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=44663

When I click that link, it says it's broken. Do you get the same? Where else is the Verizon OEM ROM available?

I assume you don't need to re-lock if you want to just put the stock ROM back on to try?

Go to VZ's site, or HTC's site...

You only need to relock if you're taking your phone in for service. They can (and usually will) deny your claim if you've flashed a custom ROM.

it should still be on our ftp site and that links just broken because we moved site location. here's the ftp site. maybe you'll find the stock vzw rom now

don't use the re-lock first, just flash the stock ROM
