How long on back order?
 

Was over on the Sprint site and they have the TP as OUT-OF-STOCK, any word on how long this will last?

What is the cause of the shortage?

I finally gave up after waiting for 3+ weeks for it to be instock and just went to best buy and got it

yea I was at the sprint repair store today and they said ppl are waiting for a month to get there replacement. Thank god Im only getting mines replaced cuz the switch came out where the stylus go so I can wait I guess.

yeah retentions said they could try to order one in a week, but they wouldnt know if it would go thru, i found a couple of stores had them though this was wed i picked mine up

I just spoke to a customer service representative from Sprint who said that no more units would be available from Sprint until a couple of "technical issues" were resolved. He didn't have an estimated re-release date, but he speculated 1-3 months. He also didn't provide any specifics about the issues that were causing the delay.

I don't put a lot of stock in one conversation with a customer service rep, and I know I'd probably get three different stories if I called three more times, but, for whatever it's worth . . .

can we get the touch pro at best buy for the upgrade cost (around $300)? or do we have to tough it out and pay the retail if we want to get it there? I know people were getting the same deals from BB as they were from Sprint, but recently i heard someone say something about no more deals from BB....

I got mine at bestbuy for $299 out the door. I had to go to two stores as the first one didn't want to sell it to me (something about me being on SERO). No problem whatsoever at the second store.

i dropped mine and broke it, called asurion today and they had NEW ones in stock. shipped it today and i'll have it thursday.

3 weeks for me. recieved mine on the 8th after a 2 week wait. it actually took 5 days to recieve. that was a first

does anyone know what is the real problem? Did Sprint simply not order enough or are they waiting for HTC to fix something before they take the delivery of the next batch? Thanks

from what everyone is saying the battery and heat are a real issue, so IMO Sprint is wanting the heat to be corrected for safety concerns.

which makes me wonder how could they not have known about the heat during testing?

Heat is a real problem on my TP. The back panel gets very warm almost hot after 7 or 8 mins on the phone. This is the reason I want to exchange it.

I called 10 minutes ago since I have my account noted that I am waiting for replacement. They said no stock yet. Call Friday or next week. DAmn..

TP Backordered until 12/19
 

Just off the phone with my rep and she says they are on BO until the 19th..... lucky I got mine when they first came out! ;)

I called to have mine replaced on Sunday (12/14) and was told a new one would be sent out immediately and I'd be seeing it within 2-3 days... 5 tops. We'll see. The Best Buy near here has some new ones now too, though I'm not sure on the quantity.

I work for sprint :( they were very popular christmas gifts sold out very quick, i dont believe most stores have them.. i believe we are expecting them Jan..... I have not recieved any emails of any glitches or problems with the TP only thing we have recieved is a email about the sprint tv, if you do not do the update when it prompts your tv wont work again and u will not get the prompt u have to call in and we email u the link to download it.

Do us a favor and request that updates and news about the Touch Pro be posted on the Touch Pro PowerDeck Page, It'd save everyone alot of time

I got mine the day they were available at Best Buy in October. Since then all my buttons stopped working. I took it into local Sprint store for replacement on 12/11. I called them today and they said it was backordered that was all they knew. I called *2 and tried to get more information but the guy said the same thing. They said they wouldn't downgrade me for a replacement but I might have to get something different because half of my features don't work. For instance I have to add a number into contacts to call someone because I can't use the phone buttons.

Could you please provide the Sprint number you called? I was to do a replacement but they are telling me they can't place an order for me because their system would not allow since it's out of stock. Thanks

I did the same thing on Sunday, but they didn't have any idea when they would be in. Have they sent you a tracking number yet? I haven't gotten anything. I've called every evening thus far and still no word :dontknow:
