What's with the volume buttons while in a call?
I have two questions about using the hardware volume buttons while in a call.
1. When I am in a call (the dialer app is active) and I press volume up or down once, the graph will show the volume going up or down by two lines. But the next time I press the same button, the starting level is right back where it was before. 2. When I press and hold the volume up or down button while in a call, the screen flashes back and forth between the HTC volume slider graph and teh dialer app, and the volume only changes by one notch. Is this supposed to work this way????? Thx! |
Re: What's with the volume buttons while in a call?
Weird...
On mine, I have to hit one of the volume buttons which opens up the volume screen, but it does not change the volume. I have to hit the volume button again. Almost every phone I've ever had has done this. |
Re: What's with the volume buttons while in a call?
I disabled the HTC dialer today in favor of teh standard WM dialer. I like it...makes it ring a lot sooner on incoming calls. Also fixed this issue...I can now easily adjust volume in a call by either holding the button, or clicking multiple times.

I would imagine this would be intentional. Every person you talk to on the phone might have a different volume. you know how some people are just really loud? You might naturally have the volume down. If you get a call from someone that is quiet you would turn it up. Now if it stuck that way and you got a call from someone really loud, you might lose an ear drum.... |
