Windows Update Error
 

Hoping someone can help on this matter or maybe its not the phone. When I try to press the widows update icon on my TP I get an error message that says "connection to the update server was not available. Check your data connection settings and ensure the device date and time are correct." I made sure my data connection was on and time is synced to network. I can even get online and do all functions with data connections. Is this the phone settings or could this be a windows server problem. Thanks to anyone with help.

It doesn't have any real updates to it. Don't worry about it.

Agreed... All updates are usually issued by the Carrier as ROM updates...

Actually, before I did a hard reset recently, it looked like I had an actual windows update on the phone. I have it set to download, and install automatically. But, it looked like in installed programs, that there was an update in there. Of course, it could have just been the drugs....:drunken:

I occasionally check the update just for the hell of it since I had the diamond, and I can tell you there was no updates. My Touch Pro is all stock now, and if there is any updates, I'm sure people here or myself will let you guys know.

true...i have never seen an update using this...it never did anything when i clicked it on my 6700 or my mogul....

My phone shows the last successful check was on 11/10, which was about the time I got my TP replaced.

But w/ the lameness of M$oft and their treatment of WinMo, I wouldn't expect anything out there anyways. At least not until WinMo 6.5 (Assuming that EVER sees the light of day).
