Sorry, let me clear it up. Yes I have the touch Pro now and was curious to know which build of Opera has been working the best for everybody. Right now I am using the regular build that came with stock rom. I tried the beta version from opera website but way too many issues for it to be usable. Version 2520 worked great on my old vogue but does not display properly on my new touch pro, unless there is a vga cab of it around. Thanks for any input

Stock is pretty slow for me, and it has bugs, like it doesn't follow your cursor when you are typing in an input box, (say on this forum, for example.)

I have found other oddities as well, like not being able to click a hyperlink unless you double-tap to zoom in. If I zoom in with the "wheel," or a link is large enough to click with my finger, Opera does not realize it. So then I have to double-tap, wait for everything to be re-rendered, and THEN click.

Annoying--but the best I have seen so far.

Re: which version of opera

I like the stock Opera on my Sprint TP a lot. It's build 2316. Wanting the latest and greatest, I tried to install 2745 without success (no CAB, it was exe). I then went to the Opera web site and tried to install their "stable" beta - something like 9.51b (build 2723). Installed ok but did not replace anything on my TP. So back to last known CAB that I know of - 2649. Looks great but half the time I hit a link in text (like an e-mail) it runs and starts a download of a page but never finishes nor displays the page.

Any advise greatly appreciated,
tsp

my main problems are that its slow, its hard to click links, and if you rotate it more than twice the page zooms out like 1000x and its the size of a pinhead.

There is no such thing as Opera Mobile 4, there's Opera Mini 4.2 which just came out, and Opera Mobile 8.65 and 9.50. and I don't understand the rest of what you are trying to say.

big +1 for the typing issue. if thats what you ment. skeeg, the way you type is almost imposible to read. it may work for texting you friends, but here its very, very hard to read. if you look at other members posts you dont see it. its very hard to understand without full words and slang or whatever. i text short words, but thats because the person im texting understands me. just trying to help make life here easy.

There are several reasons why people use a customized ROM, that being one of them. and you can pretty much put any software into a ROM if you want. For example, if you want Opera Mobile 8.65 instead of 9.5 you could put 8.65 in a rom.
