terrible issues.

so, after spending numerous hours after only these past 2 days of ownership trying to get my touch Pro to work properly, i've decided ask you guys a question.

please don't flame me, i've searched everything on it, but i still can't find a solution.

so if you didn't want to read all that below. my issues are:
really long lag times.
my screen dying, and needing either time or resets to get back to work.

when my keyboard slides open, my phone does not respond, the lag is so long that my screen just goes on standby and from there my screen dies, and after restarting it, the screen still doesn't turn back on. i clicked the volume keys to see what's going on and it seems that everything is running with the screen(black, but lit) on. and it takes me hours to get it to work, trying everything from resetting, hard resetting and removing the battery and powering the damn thing up and randomly the screen will begin to work again.

is there a performance cab that can fix this? or should i throw another rom in it?

solutions are greatly appreciated.

if a hard reset does not fix lag times, try a different rom. are you using stock?

Re: terrible issues.

i just bought the phone off my sister's boyfriend on friday. i feel like pulling my hair because of all the issues i'm running into man.

but if it's a faulty device, i'd rather have sprint deal with it, rather than myself paying 50 bucks to asurion because HTC made a bad quality product.

im on employee account, i really hope sprint can do something about this.

Try a hard reset? That usually fixes alot of lag...

Mcast, what procedure are you using to "hard reset". Lets make sure you're doing that correctly. Many folks here are talking about "hard resets" and really doing "soft resets".

sounds like ur sister's boyfriend sold you a rotten phone... maybe he dropped it :(
but if hard resets aren't fixing the issue... that means that dude had the problem too and he should'nt have sold it to you in the first place

vol key down, power, and ok button.

as well as "clear storage"

i went to 2 different sprints today. retail, then to technical. and at the tech place they said they can't fix it, and that the tPros are back ordered.

so what i have to do now is hunt down a store that has one available and exchange it. since i have insurance they said i have to have it for about 30 days to file a claim, but i ran into issues right off the funking bat with this phone.

previous owner(my sister's boyfriend) said he had no issues with it. just my luck

oh yeah, and he never used the keyboard, mainly the on screen keyboard for texting. -_-
