USBINPUT - Will this work on Touch Pro?

After spending some time trying to find out if usb devices (usb touchscreen for example) would work with the Touch Pro I came across this website. I went on their forums and asked if this would work with a touchscreen and was told it may possible. My question now is will this app work on a Touch Pro with this type of connecter and a powered usb hub. Has anyone got this to work with even a keyboard and mouse? I am going to buy the adapter and a usb hub and test it out with a keyboard and mouse myself but was wondering if anyone had any success with this yet.

Hmm does this finally solve the pack of USB host capabilities on WM devices? It's been a long time coming ...

I forgot to mention there is a free trial of the software so if someone has the needed adapter (or can make it) give it a try with a kb and mouse (touchscreen if you have one) and let me know how it worked out. Hopefully some one can save me the money before I buy the stuff needed if it doesn't work, if not it is only a few bucks wasted no big deal.

So, I gave this a try and hate to say this isn't ready to work on the TP. I tried 2 KBs and 2 mice, both connected directly to the device and then through a powered hub. I believe this is due to the current config of the USB controller built into the TP. I'm pretty sure I remember reading, elsewhere in these forums, that the hardware should be capable but, the host function has been disabled. I hope this has helped save you some time.

Please don't forget about the "Thanks" button if I was helpfull.

Id just rather use the HID profile of Bluetooth. That works for sure with usb enabled keyboards.

Well the way it sounds is that it is a software issue. I remember reading on xda forums about someone using a usb drive, i believe, to flash his pro but he was not able to get the phone to recognize it when it wasn't in the bootloader (my info could be wrong here i'm just going by memory). If that is true the phone probibly has some sort of usb host but it may be disabled. I wish I had enough skills (and time) to look into this further, hopefully someone else who knows what they are doing will look into this more. I think it would be awsome if I could use my Pro as a carputer.

I wonder if it is somehow possible to convert the usb from a touchscreen to bluetooth and use the bluetooth HID profile (probibly not just thinking out loud:scratch:).

@ xxxjdoggxxx:

I think we were reading the same post(about the bootloader flash drv access). This would be awesome to get working. I am more interested in being able to access mass-storage (ext HDD or Flash Drv) but, the ability to plug in a usb mouse or keyboard would be mighty convenient.

BTW, I really like to carputer idea. :headbang:
I hope you are able to dig up a solution.
