How do you set a rngtone as an alarm?
 

i Did the mistake of assigning the ringer titled "Loudest" as my alarm ringer. woke up 2 1/2 hours late for work :-/
ive been searching the forums but cant find a Dummies way how to do it. Also, is the TP supposed to get so warm after mild usage? just went into Skyfire to check stocks for a couple minutes and the phone seemed to be burning up! is it normal? sorry if this is a repost or questions already been answered. when your firewalled at work you dont have too many options to research :-/

it runs hot.. there's a setting to for alarms to go off regardless of what your ringer is set at, maybe you had your ringer turned off but that not setup?

i use galarm. its fun when you wake up. you get to do a maze!

All the ringers are in the Windows folder ... there is a "play" button to test the alarm sound ...

This was one of the first things I figured out how to do, since I also like having custom ringtones for my text messaging and e-mail notifications.

Using Fire Explorer, copy the ringtone you want to use as an alarm and drop it into the My Device/Windows folder.

I tried what you did like you said, but had no luck :(
i soft reset the phone after and nothing. Its not under there at all. BTW this is on the Sprint Touch Pro :-/

I would recommend something other than the built in alarm, gAlarm is good!
or howbout an alarm clock.:scratch:

Try just dropping the ring tone you want right onto the memory card don't put it in any folder just on the memory card, my brother gave me this tip he has a Tilt on AT&T but it worked for my T.P. on Sprint.
