Opera Mobile Problems

Hey all, I love Opera Mobile but a couple things about it really annoy me. I was wondering if everyone has else these problems.

1) It takes about 30 seconds for the program to even load when starting up
2) When clicking a link or button, etc... there is about a 1 second lag time before it even shows that it's processing.

you think thats slow, try skyfire, then opera will seem blazing fast. how good is your connection?

My connection is pretty good. I've tried on WiFi too and it's the same. I just wish Opera would give me some sort of feedback that I actually clicked the link. If I'm using my finger or thumb I'll miss the link sometimes and I'll wait a few seconds thinking that Opera is just thinking about it. So yeah, basically I just want it to let me know I clicked it. And also, that startup time just seems kind of long.

That's what I'm talking about... the bottom yellow bar doesn't even show up for about a second. I know a second seems like a short period of time, but for something like this it's actually pretty annoying.

ROM?
Does it work well after a soft reset?
How many apps do you have installed?

Hmm... I don't know exactly how many I have installed... maybe 15 or so. Only one that is always running (S2U2). I have the stock ROM: 1.03.651.3

I just did a soft reset. This time it only took about 11-12 seconds from the time I clicked on Opera until the splash screen went away. There is still the lag from link-click to visual feedback. I guess that's just the way Opera Mobile is.

Re: Opera Mobile Problems

My biggest problem is selecting the next page links in forums. I find that I can read the forum text as a much smaller size than I can select links. This causes me to have to zoom in when I get to the "select next page" area. This makes me miss my smartphone at times since it was easier to cursor to the next page. Any suggestions to optimize my touchscreen navigation?
