Bluetooth Audio

How do I get all audio on my Verizon Touch Pro to play through my bluetooth earpiece?

With my Motorola Q, I connected the bluetooth device, it changed to a Headset profile and all audio (tcpmp, windows media, etc) played through the bluetooth device.

When I connect the same bluetooth earpice to my Touch Pro, the only time it activates is if I hit voice command or once a call is connected.

I also have bluetooth stereo headphones with that stereo profile and those do get audio from Windows Media player.

How do I get audio from TCPMP/Windows Media to play through the Hands Free profile that the bluetooth earpieces I have use?

Anyone able to help with this? I'm disappointed that I can't listen to audio through a bluetooth headset with the hands-free profile.

There has to be a simple fix.

I have the same issue with my Treo 800w using my Plantronics Discovery 925. I now use a Plantronics Voyager 855 for music. With the 925 I use it at work since I can answer two bluetooth devices. I use the 855 when I want to listen to music off my Treo.

Ok, that worked, as I'm sure the file dr g posted would to.

But, how come I need this? My Motorola Q didn't need this. When I used the same mono headset, everything went to the headset when it was paired. I know I don't run anything special there and I don't think I made any special registry changes to make it work that way.

This worked and it's just a minor pain to activate/deactivate it each time, so I suppose it'll still suffice, I just don't get why I need it, but THANKS!

i prefer this method as it saves my battery on both my headset and phone but there is a program called bluecast that keeps the connection on till you turn it off. There also seems to be some other free programs that leave the connection open. Check this blog out has a lot of info.

This extra file is needed because the Moto Q uses a different Bluetooth stack than the TouchPro. If I remember correctly, the stack that the MotoQ uses will pipe any audio to the Hands Free profile because it doesn't support A2DP the way the TP does. With the bluetooth stack on the TP supporting A2DP, it takes care of the audio and only kicks in Hands-Free or Headset profiles when on a call or when Voice Command kicks in.
